About

Sh. Omer Haqqani  memorized the Noble Qur’an at a young age in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, before relocating to the United States at the age of 12. He later pursued formal Islamic studies, earning a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Shariah and a minor in the Arabic language from the esteemed institutions of the University of Damascus (Syria) and Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema (Lucknow, India).

For over 15 years, he has led Hajj and Umrah groups, guiding and mentoring pilgrims from across the country through their sacred journeys. Professionally, he serves as an IT Executive in downtown Chicago. Beyond his career, he remains deeply engaged in community service—regularly delivering Friday khutbahs, leading educational programs, and offering guidance on a wide range of religious and social matters throughout the Chicagoland area.

Sh. Omer has also had the honor of serving on the boards of several masajid and Islamic organizations, where he continues to contribute his leadership and insight toward strengthening and uplifting the Muslim community.
